Jeremy Bettis There are way too many errors in my 404 error reports. I traced it back to a bug in "wp-includes/pluggable.php" line 890, where wordpress redirects a url it still reports as a 404.
You need to add
global $wp_query;
$wp_query->is_404 = false;
right after the header("Location: $location) call.
Tony Gilbert I tried adding this, but still getting 404 errors on 301 redirects. Did I put it in the wrong place? This seems to relate to 302s, rather than 301s.

Tony Gilbert I just changed the function of the above script from "302" to "301" and that seems to have fixed the problem of 301s being reported as 404s. I am ok with that as I shouldn't have any 302s on my site.
