With version 1.2.1, Carrington Build can no longer be installed as a stand alone plugin.  It must be incorporated into a theme.

FaveBusiness (Formerly Carrington Business) version 1.2

Why the rename? Carrington Core, Carrington Build, Carrington Business – It was confusing! We are reclaiming “Carrington” as the name for our underlying theme technologies (Core and Build), and are therefore renaming all of our themes accordingly.

Here’s a Sampling of new features and changes in version 1.2.

Carrington Build version 1.2

Today Crowd Favorite has released the latest version of Carrington Build.  This version 1.2, requires WordPress 3.3 or later a few bug fixes and improvements on existing features since the release of version 1.1.2.

Annotum was built for scholarly journals and publishers to have a robust, WordPress-based platform for authoring and publishing. This theme also serves as a possible alternative as users transition from Google Knol to WordPress.

Crowd Favorite worked in conjunction with Solvitor to ideate, design, and build the theme and experience. We also worked with Automattic (at WordPress.com) and Google to help make the transition process a success.

Social is a plugin to help bring the social media discussions into your WordPress site: Facebook comments, Twitter mentions, retweets and replies. It provides site owners the ability to broadcast new posts to Facebook and Twitter. It also allows commenters to comment as their Facebook or Twitter identities and even re-publish the comments to the respective service.

There were certain versions of WordPress that contained a bug that caused the value in the GUID field in the “posts” table of the WordPress database to not be unique for pages and custom post types (the GUID is supposed to be unique). This problem was fixed in WordPress 3.1 (we submitted the patch), but any pages or custom post type content that was created with the version of WordPress that exhibited this bug still may have duplicate GUID values.

In short, if you used WordPress 3.0.x or earlier on your site, run this plugin to fix potential bad data that might prevent RAMP from working correctly. If you started using WordPress with version 3.1 or later then your site should not have this issue.
