Today, Crowd Favorite released the newest version of Carrington Build.

What’s new in this release? A detailed list of changes can be found in the change log, and some highlights include:

Fixed the issue with the “Add Media” button not triggering after closing a Build Module
Fixed various Module dialog layout issues
Fixed other minor WordPress 3.5 compatibility issues

Crowd Favorite and Backflip Studios re-launch company website

In conjunction with a re-branding effort, Crowd Favorite and Backflip Studios have worked together to re-design and re-launch the Backflip Studios company website.

After selecting WordPress as the desired platform for managing their content, the Boulder-based company selected their Denver neighbors, Crowd Favorite, to help with the design and development efforts.

We’re very pleased with how the look and feel of the site turned out, especially on mobile and tablet devices. We’re equally thrilled with how easy it is for Backflip Studios to make updates to their site, highlight new games, and add compelling content and features leveraging tools like Carrington Build.

RAMP 1.1.2 Released

Today, Crowd Favorite released RAMP version 1.1.2, which offers several new features and improvements. Highlights include:

Address a bug that caused menu items to not transfer correctly
Other misc. changes to improve compatibility with WordPress 3.5

RAMP 1.1.1 released

Today Crowd Favorite has released the latest version of RAMP. This release addresses several issues including:

Compatibility with WordPress 3.5
Improved rollback of transferred users
More efficient and improved sending of posts with large numbers of attachments

Crowd Favorite leads migration of Beatportal.com from ExpressionEngine to Beatport News on WordPress

Yesterday, Crowd Favorite and Beatport launched Beatport News on WordPress. Previously, beatportal.com existed as the online community and resource for electronic and dance news for DJs, producers, and fans alike.

From Beatport’s CEO, Matt Adell:

The result is that what once was a bit of a side-project is now getting all the love and attention that the community and our readers deserve.

Crowd Favorite leveraged their existing tools and techniques to export the ExpressionEngine post items (and other metadata, such as featured images) into a WXR (WordPress XML) file ready for immediate import using existing WordPress tools. Ultimately, thousands of posts and images spanning a handful of years were migrated to WordPress.

In addition, Crowd Favorite led the design process resulting in a responsive layout that adapts to smaller tablet and mobile browser sizes.

Working with Crowd Favorite has been a fantastic experience. They’ve been a great partner and we’re proud of the stellar launch of Beatport News.

Crowd Favorite attends WordCamp San Francisco 2012

Both Alex and Devin visited San Francisco again this summer for the WordCamp conference and developer hack day. The conference is always a great time to catch up with friends and fellow WordPress enthusiasts, developers, and even some clients… this year was no different.

The developer hack day was a great chance to meet with various contributors to the WordPress project and help out with code contributions, discussions, and even some writing in the core contributor handbook.
