Simple and beautiful
The initial iPhone application, iDygest, needed a home on the web. After finalizing the color scheme and the logo we outlined the main goals of the site: learn about and download the applications. By keeping the elements simple the message should be clear to the visitor: this is what it (the application) does, this is why you would use it, here’s where you can download it, and here are some nice reviews. Simple.
Design and implementation
Once the website layout and design was finalized we turned it into a reality. Using semantic markup, clean CSS, and lightweight JavaScript, the site is search-engine friendly and loads very quickly for first-time visitors. Our implementation supports the goals of the site: quickly learn about Dygest and download the application.
Not just a fresh coat of paint
We created a new corporate brand for a Dygest, including the logo and a color scheme. Since there was already a specific use case for the in the Dygest iOS apps, we also needed to make sure the design would work well in that application. We came up with a bright design and a meaningful logo which will be recognizable and is distinguishable in a sea of app icons.
Packaging for future use
We prepared a branding style guide and a logo usage guide for Dygest to share with syndication partners, press, and other interested parties. This allows for consistent expression of their brand identity. It also removes the burden from Dygest to explain when and how to use their logo and colors.
