The Sort By drop down lets you change the order of the tasks in the Tree View.

'Magic' Sort Order is a multi-sort by (in order):

1. Date Due (by date)
2. Priority (high to low)
3. % Complete (high to low)
4. Sticky Tasks (sticky, then not sticky)
5. Title (alphabetized)
