Carrington Core
The Carrington Core platform was built for the entire WordPress development community. Developers love the reduced reliance on custom code and the resulting ease of site maintenance and upkeep. Designers love being able to apply different visual treatments to different areas or the site and specific pieces of site content without having to write any PHP code. For a WordPress theme professional, it’s the best thing since sliced bread.

Born From Necessity, Still Growing
Carrington is the result of many years of building WordPress powered sites. We’ve built Carrington to be flexible enough to handle the requirements we see in real world projects. Since the initial released in 2008, we have continued to update and add features, including support for custom post types and comment meta.
A Perfect Base for a CMS
In many cases, the current theme organization works well. But, we decided to take it a few steps further and allow for atomic elements that support the current WordPress naming convention. In other words, posts in different categories can be explicitly defined in a different manner. Or, posts by certain authors can apply different stylings. Itâs complex, but this is more than a theme; it’s a theme framework.
Atomic elements for easy customization
The benefit of this new organization means each atomic element can be handled distinctly. Therefore, we can do slick things like load comments right on the home and archive pages with AJAX. Having individually defined templates means we can do the same thing on archive listings too.
