WordCamp Orlando 2011
Alex and Devin both attended and participated during the December event. Devin spoke during a panel for publishers on how to choose the right designer and developer for their project. Alex helped answer questions at the Happiness Bar.
WordCamp San Francisco 2011
Alex and Devin attended and participated during the three day conference in August. Alex presented some new projects including the Social plugin, a new personal theme, and RAMP. Devin helped emcee the Saturday developer sessions.
WordCamp Seattle 2011
Crowd Favorite founder Alex King spoke in an interview-style Q&A at the latest WordCamp in Seattle, WA on April 16, 2011. The conversation focused on the evolution of WordPress from an Open Source project to a product and the challenges and benefits in creating a business around an Open Source platform.
WordCamp Boulder 2010
Crowd Favorite hosted the latest Denver-area WordCamp in Boulder, Colorado on Saturday, July 10, 2010. We organized and sponsored the event. Shawn and Alex also presented on WordPress development and lead group discussions while Matt, Gordon, Shawn and Matt Walters answered WordPress questions at the Genius Bar. WordCamp San Francisco 2010
Crowd Favorite visited San Francisco again on May 1, 2010. In attendance were Alex, David, Devin, and Shawn. We enjoyed meeting fellow developers, helping users at the Genius Bar, and visiting with other members of the community. On Sunday, Alex visited the “Developer Day” and helped contribute code and ideas to WordPress 3.0.
WordCamp San Francisco 2009
Crowd Favorite’s first attendance at the San Francisco event was in 2009 when Alex and Devin descended upon the Bay Area. With it’s initial launch success demonstrated, Alex was asked to present the WordPress HelpCenter during Matt Mullenweg’s “State of the Word” keynote. Crowd Favorite and the WordPress HelpCenter also volunteered at the Genius Bar to say hello and answer questions.
WordCamp Denver 2009
We hosted the first annual WordCamp in Denver on Saturday, February 28, 2009 at the Denver Art Museum. With nearly 400 attendees, 16 speakers, and two afternoon tracks the event was labeled a great success. Video from the event is hosted at WordPress.tv.
WordCamp Utah 2008
Crowd Favorite’s first WordCamp experience came about when Automattician Joseph Scott asked Alex to present “plugin development” on Saturday, September 27, 2008 in Provo.
