Frequently Asked Questions

What if I use Cloudflare or another CDN, how does this work?

Yes, but you are likely going to need to enable some custom rules to ensure the folder for the optimized css is included in the CDN rules. If your CDN minifies CSS, you may need to adjust or disable this setting in your CDN as minification is already handled by Speed Daemon by Crowd Favorite.

What if I use Elementor, Beaver Builder, or another page builder?

Yes. Speed Daemon by Crowd Favorite was built to support both Beaver Builder and Elementor page builders. Since both of these page builders are front-end visual tools, Speed Daemon by Crowd Favorite for now works only with Elementor and Beaver Builder (Added as built in addons). Because they work on the front-end, where we dequeue all of the styles, they need custom code to stop the plugin from replacing the styles.

Does this work with the Gutenberg Block Editor?

Yes it does. Whether you use the new WordPress Block Editor or the Classic Editor interface, Speed Daemon by Crowd Favorite works.

Can I use this with Autoptimize, WP Rocket, or other caching plugins?

The short answer is It depends. In general, if you use Autoptimize without its CSS optimization enabled, it should work fine. Due to how both tools interact with a site’s CSS files, problems will appear if you try to have both tools processing CSS. For those who want to keep using Autoptimize or other optimization plugins, we recommend disabling their CSS functionality in favor of Speed Daemon by Crowd Favorite.
