Volkswagen approached Crowd Favorite to create a new TDI site with content powered by WordPress that also featured the intricate use of BuddyPress and TankWars.

Though Crowd Favorite created an integrative WordPress CMS, the most interesting challenge was the use of BuddyPress to power the TankWars effort. Each driver’s profile contained their best mileage score and ranking authenticated by Facebook Connect. Facebook Connect was also able to integrate into the platform to pull photos, vote on and interact with profiles while allowing full comment functions.

When National School Choice Week (NSCW) approached Crowd Favorite for help, it was to ensure their site would be shored up before an upcoming event. In the prior year, the same event had brought enough traffic to crash the site and cause severe disruptions to the event. In 2020, when the School Choice Week event would need to be 100% virtual, the need to have a performant site was more critical than ever.
