National Geographic had been experiencing repeated success with its migrations to WordPress. With their new success, National Geographic wanted to develop an experimental blog that would cover a team of writers and their exploration to Everest.
Crowd Favorite was asked to create a live Everest expedition blog for National Geographic writers, explorers, and photographers to chart their experiences in real-time throughout the adventures.
Using the WordPress CMS, Crowd Favorite built a blog focused on published content and media with a number of permission that was easy to use for the less technical members of the National Geographic team. We then maximized user accessibility by developing a tablet app that paired seamlessly with the site, and customized a private feed for the IT team to display teasers and encourage app subscribers.
