One of the first mobile-friendly education websites, Crowd Favorite helped unify Simpson College’s online presence. We extended WordPress to create an easy-to-manage system with per-department content permissions and an auto-updating staff roster.

First, Crowd Favorite created a foundation for a robust data architecture to house content from different colleges and departments. We then created custom post types for shared content and taxonomy groupings that were integrated with menus. When building the site, we took a “mobile first” approach by leveraging media queries, a flexible grid and creating a responsive site with custom CMS.
